Rancho Chilamate Horseback Riding Tours

Rancho Chilamate Adventures on Horseback caters to the adventurous traveler and hosts smaller, intimate groups of up to six riders for guided horseback tours to the beaches where the reality TV show Survivor Nicaragua was recently filmed. They provide authentic Western gear, beautiful tours and freshly prepared food.

Tree Canopy Tour

Da Flying Frog is a well priced, adventurous activity that takes about 4 hours. Located behind San Juan del Sur in the foothills, a network of 17 cables makes its way down the mountain, connected to huge trees with wooden platforms on each. All you have to do is strap in your harness, put on a helmet, and enjoy the adrenaline rush as you make your way down the mountain. The longest cable is approximately 350 meters, allowing you to appreciate the amazing views and tree canopy while zipping down the mountain. This activity is suited for all ages from 7 years and up. Da Flying Frog is open Monday thru Saturday from 8am until 4pm, closed on Sundays. Make sure to call ahead for a reservation. They will pick you up at your hotel and drop you back off afterwards. The canopy tour costs US $30 per person.
